estetska katastrofa, ali odličan okus, ali s ovom sam ih turom dovela vrlo blizu ljepoti, a okusom i presjekom savršenstvu: nešuplji, vlažni, mekani, izvana prhki toliko da je dovoljan dodir da puknu.

Nisam baš ljubitelj umjetnih boja, odnosno ne koristim ih baš prečesto. U ovoj turi nisam koristila boje, a krema je okusom također vrlo jednostavna: ganache od kvalitetne čokolade, s prirodnim ekstraktom vanilije. Neke sam posula kakaom prije pečenja.

I think I’m close to baking perfect macarons. The batch from my first attempt was esthetically the best, the batch from the second attempt was
an esthetic disaster, but the taste was phenomenal. This one, the third batch, is close to prettiness, and the taste and the texture is perfect: not hollow at all, moist, tender, and so soft inside but crisp on the outside.

There are few tools which, I think, are obligatory when making macarons, and I didn’t have them until now. Silicone spatula and oven thermometer. The thermometer only confirmed what I suspected before: the oven isn’t well calibrated, and additionally, the temperature jumps up and down: with this tool I will learn more about my oven climate
I’m not a big fan of synthetic food colors, I don’t use them often. For this batch I didn’t use colors at all. Filling is simple too. Just a simple ganache made of good chocolate, and natural vanilla extract. I sprinkled some macarons with cocoa powder before putting them in the oven.
