3 žlice | maslinova ulja |
1 manji | luk, nasjeckani |
1 | mrkva, nasjeckana |
1 srednja | tikvica, nasjeckana |
komadić | korjena celera |

150 g | crvene leće |
800 ml | temeljca (pileći, juneći, povrtni) |
1 žličica | curry-praha |
1 žličica | naribanog đumbira |
1 prstohvat | svježe mljevenog papra |
1 prstohvat | slatke crvene paprike u prahu |

Red Lentil Soup
3 tbsp | olive oil |
1 small | onion, chopped |
1 | carrot, chopped |
1 medium | zucchini, chopped, peeled |
small piece | celery root |
small piece | kohlrabi root |
150 g | red lentils |
800 ml | stock (chicken, beef, vegetable) |
1 tsp | curry powder |
1 tsp | grated ginger |
1 pinch | freshly ground pepper |
1 pinch | sweet red pepper powder |

Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in medium pot and then saute the onions on low heat until soft and translucent. Add carrot, zucchini, celery root and kohlrabi root. Stir for few minutes, then add washed lentils. Pour in the stock. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the lentils are tender. Add curry powder, freshly ground pepper, sweet red pepper powder, and a teaspoon of grated ginger. Simmer for a minute and then remove from heat. Puree the soup with a stick blender. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.
